In November 2010 I was invited by friend and colleague Peter Williams to work with the MythBusters build team on two stop motion ads for Toyota Prius. I created props and rigs, and assisted during filming at the MythBuster second workshop, M7.
I built my favorite prop on this project: a realistic clay potato. I had trouble finding the correct pigments to match the mottled skin of a real potato, so in a pinch I grabbed some spices from the kitchen cupboard and dusted it with cinnamon, nutmeg, paprika, and cumin. Smelled great.
